I have a ‘12 Silverado K1500 W/T, and would like a copy of the actual GM shop service manual, but there’s no way I’m gonna pay $300-$500 for the GM 2012 C/K Truck shop service manual that’s actually 7 large books that cover everything for all ‘12 Silverado pickups. I don’t want a Chilton/Haynes book, I’ve used them before and have had issues with incorrect information, mostly wiring/electrical. What I’m looking for is a GM book (or one that uses info from the GM manual set) that specifically covers the ‘12 Silverado 1500 pickups, ‘07-‘13 Silverado 1500 pickups, or a good PDF version of any of those three manuals. Thanks for the help.

Why not get an online subscription to the FSM at a site like alldatadiy.com ?

Much cheaper, and you can print out what you actually use. It should also be hyperlinked, which makes following procedures a lot easier than using the physical books, which generally have you jumping around between different sections to complete a fix.

Alternately, you can't spend less than 1% of the cost of the truck for the repair manual?

It’s also a work truck. Why do you need that?
