Should a limited slip make noise when engaging?
Finally got the Aubutn ECTED installed. Had to grind the end of the axle shafts down to go into the carrier. When it is not locked it is a LS. When a wheel slips the LS wines untill it completely engages. Is this normal?

it could be the clutch packs or something, honestly I never really looked at the ECTED so I coudlnt tell you.
everyone will make a noise when it unlocks...it should be like a whine. I think your noise is normal
It makes the noise while it is engaging. After driving it several miles the noise is getting less and less. Maybet the clutches are just braking in.
