silverado projector headlight questions

I know that almost every aftermarket projector uses the crappy h3 bulb in the projector lens. would it be possible to buy some gmc denali projectors/9006 bulbs and install that unit in an aftermarket silverado headlight assembly. Or maybe even an oem silverado assembly?

That would be whats called a retrofit. search for it on here, there have been a few guys do it with projectors.

you could also go to www.hidplanet.com just about anything lighting related you can find there.
