Has anyone ever sleved their air lines, to protect them from nicks and abrasions? If so, what did you use? I'm looking to go with 1/2 lines .. also what did you fasten your lines to the frame with? Right now I have some of the zip ties with the eyelet for a screw, and some self taping screws .. would you recommend line clamps from like summit or jegs instead?

i did mine for temp and just zipped tied to the metal brake lines that were already clipped to the frame (i know not the smartest thing to do but soon it will be hard lined when every component is layed out were it going to be)

as far as sleeveing the lines i personally wouldnt worry about it unless your valves are on the tank

That should work. I wrapped mine in black electrical tape (ghetto i know) at possible chafing points (around metal, heat, etc.) just to be on the safe side. Since its all hidden and the line is black anyway it doesn't look bad at all, and should give some protection.

Nope, never seen that stuff .. I was thinking of maybe the clear tubing you could get at Home Depot, Lowes, and getting it big enough to go over the air line .. then you could tape the ends to keep it from sliding.

i used heater hose, it's about 88 cents a foot up here, and taped it to the ends of my lines, it's oretty thick and reinforced, i used this where my line comes otu of the front bags and starts down the framerails, theres about 3 pieces of metal the hose lays against i only used about 2 feet on each side though

Go to Home depot in, in the plumbing section they sell 5/8'' black line that fits 1/2'' line just perfect. Thats what I used to sleeve my 1/2'' line in certain places. I belive it was like $ 3.50 per 10ft roll if Im correct. You should be able to find it in the same area that they display their brass fittings.. Let me know if this works for you

Im using 5/8" heater hose on my 1/2" line. i have it on all of the line near the motor, and anywhere else where I thought I may have a problem with rubbing or heat exposure. Im sure it wouldnt take long for the line near the engine to melt.

I'm using Seeth(sp?) (<---Braided nylon-like material) where the air line could possibly be damaged. To secure the air line to the frame, I used insulated clamps and self-tapping screws.
