i destroyed a spider gear the other day...

:killer: would i be making the same mistake by putting an OEM set of spider gears back in and keep running my 285s? its factory 3.73 geared, all factory components.

It depends what your future plans are..
If you plan on going bigger. plan accordingly.
If you plan on always running 285's. Eff it, you already need to replace it, get 4.10's. Then the girl will boogie a bit more than she did.

if you replace the rear you have to replace the front with the same ratio.

well im sticking with the factory 3.73s because im on a tight budget. if i go any bigger later on ill invest in a posi unit and some taller gears, but honestly im just gonna wait till these 285s wear out and im taking the blocks out of the back and lowering to the torsion bars back to stock and im putting my street-tired 20s on it. it never sees the mud anyway... i just wanted to make sure id be okay till then. thanks guys
