I've got an 07 Yukon with about 33k miles on it and I have never changed the spark plugs. I've taken a glance at them and they seemed somewhat easy to change, could anyone give me any pointers on swapping them out? Also, is all that hype in the platinum spark plugs etc even worth it? Would you notice any type of performance increase? Appreciate it.

GM puts platinum plugs in from the factory, i would stick with them, AC delco or NGK is the prefered brand on here, i like autolite. stick with the single prong, they work the best, the rest is a gimmick.

anyway, i dont think you would need them yet till around 60k. and make sure you have a universal for the socket and a bunch of different size extentions, most are easy but the back 2.

Absolutely no reason to change unless you are having a problem. They are 100k mi plugs. I swapped mine out at 80k and they still looked great. When you replace go back with the same AC Delco Iridiums that were in there from the factory. I replaced mine the first time with NGK TR-55 Copper plugs, and they started degrading in performance after 20k mi, normal for copper plugs. I went back with the OEM AC Delco Iridiums after that.
