2004 Silverado 4x4 Automatic

Truck starts up every time as it should.
Drive the truck 10 miles and turn it off. Wait 30 seconds and truck will not restart. All dash lights and accessories remain working, everything is completely normal except you turn the key and nothing happens. No noises, just nothing. It takes about 30-60 minutes for the truck to cool back down and then it is back to starting as usual.

Took it to my mechanic, and he replaced the starter. The problem still exists. I took it back to him. He was able to recreate the problem and check some things out during the (30-60 minute) down time. He couldn't find anything wrong. He has a call into his "electrical specialist" friend - haven't heard anything back yet.

Is anyone familiar with this problem and know what may be causing this starting failure when the truck is hot?

Thanks for reading this and sorry if I have posted in the incorrect category, please advise me if so.

Had same thing happened to my 05 Silverado the starter wire from selinode to starter is a solid soldered, whenever it heats up the solder separates so looses contact, until it cools off then will start again,it was just had a small hairline crack.I replaced my starter and no problems since. You could trying to melt the solder back together also.
