so i have searched and read everything on here over and over again and still im stumped. I am putting my exhaust on my nnbs 5.3 this week and have no clue what to use. My buddy owns a muffler shop and is gonna do all the tubing from the cat back so all i need is to choose the muffler . I also need to know the inlet side and outlets diameter size.

I want a pretty loud system and i dont mind a little drone.

So do i need. for good quality and sound, i was think one of the following

corsa
cherry bomb
flowmaster
magnaflow

all help would be much appreciated, I have never heard any one of these in person and videos just dont cut it.. thanks guys,

i shouldn't say muffler shop it is a big garage with a good bending equipment, does exhaust for mostly older hotrods and newer muscle cars , he wanted me to get the muffler, i think he doesnt want to be responsible for s hitty sounding system hahaha, just because he doesnt do a lot of newer trucks...

i cant find a flowmaster muffler that has 3 inch inlet and dual 3 inch outlets, i can find a single 3inch/out but the only 3inch inlet that has dual outlets is a 2.5 inch. is that big enough, 2.5 dual outlets...

If you want loud and don't mind drone, pick up an SLP LoudMouth 1. Full stainless, great quality (I've got the LM2 with the ceramic packing).
Easily had for about $60 shipped in 3in/3out (LM2 is closer to $90). Then just have your buddy bend up the straightest route 3" pipe from the y-pipe back to the SLP, then, if you really want duals out the back for looks, hood up a y-pipe after the cannister into dual 2.5 if you want, which should be plenty big for your stock motor. I'd just dump it though, no need the for the dual after IMO.
That would sound real mean and be about as loud as you'll get with still running the OE manifolds and cats.
