How is the radio reception in your trucks? My 09's radio reception is horrible. Our company truck, which is an 02 Dakota, has PERFECT reception. Is there something i can do to change it?

My reception is always great, even without my antenna, at least on FM. AM is okay. AM came in good when I ran my antenna.

Have you done anything, electronic wise, to your truck? like HIDs, aftermarket speakers, etc?

Yes i sure did add a couple of JLW3's 10's under my back seat...but IIRC, the reception was crappy before that too. But could adding speakers make it worse? Also, i still have the stock radio.

sounds like the antenna extension cable behind the dash was never connected properly from the factory, that or the ends were not properly crimped on the cable.

The dealer will test the cable for proper continuity.

I haven't had the dealership look at anything yet, I do know that they will still look at the trucks antenna, allthough it will not be covered by my factory warranty...

it's covered. It was apart of your truck when you got it, so thus covered by warranty. Although it seems small, it is still covered. Worst thing that can happen is they will say they can't do anything.
