What do I need to do to get my toolbox to lock/unlock using the stock remote?

I'm guessin I need to get a stock or AVS solenoid and fab it to pull the toolbox latch. Then splice into the drivers door solenoid to trigger it using the stock remote.

I don't know to much about this stuff so any help is appreciated. Thanks

This would be the same as using a factory remote for shaved handles.

I dont have any good input for you, your theory seems to make sense, one hell of an idea too.. post pics if you end up getting this done!
