stock vette manifolds

what are they made out of? Like a 1999-2000 manifold? Im wanting to use them on my project truck but they dont clear perfectly so I was going to cut and modify them. Not sure if they are just mild steel or stainless or what though....a magnet sticks to them so Im sure they can be played with, but not sure what type of filler metal to use.
