Alright i spent a long as time taking off the head liner i was on a role nothing was breaking everything was so perfect until i met 2 plastic circle in the back which took double the time than taking off the headliner but they came out......... Then the worse thing ever happened my back right panel cracked because i read somewhere that you can just bend it a little so you could take out the headliner and bam!......now i gotta buy a new one :(

I also got 5 yards of faux Suede... I plan to do my headliner, visors, and doors but, i was thinking has anyone done there center console on the NBS :) i was wondering maybe if i have an 1 extra yard ill get down on my center sonsole.

What did you guys use to paint the the headliner plastics, that i way i can get some paint tomorrow, i read that some people were using some color dye.... and if so is there black color dye. :)

VHT has an epoxy paint that holds up extremely well, and is compatble with plastic. I will probily go this route as its my personal fav, but SEM has a very good name.

I thought your had to remove the material to glue something to the new head liner?

alright i was tinting my windows that i had taken off and i realized they were harder to do.... so i went to go put them back in the truck and the window thing went off the rail and it took me 2 hours and 2 24's to rail it back on, i was studying it for about an hour. and i got it working and i greased it all up and its good to go..

i will take pics tomorrow when everything is done.

I used fatmat in my last ride... worked nicely. Easy to apply and didnt fall off even in AZ heat.

I also used Edead by Elmental Designs before and that was alright stuff as well.

Also do I need to do anything to plastic pieces before I start laying it? Besides using a wax remover to get the oils off. I plan on Sueding my pillars, headliner, door panels and maybe a few other pieces.

just wash the plastic about 3 times with dish soap and if you have those wipes that remove grease oil it will work better. ima just wash it and lay it over.

I bought my fabric from http://www.distinctivefabric.com/fabric.php?product=PSUEDE1 i bought 5 yards and gave me about 1/2 extra pretty cool.

As for glue
option 1 : 3m super 90
plan b : 3m super 77
plan c : 3m general adhesive.

ill get some pics of my door panels, and sound deadener when im back.

Thanks will, im going with peel and seal i was reading on google and people were saying its the same as fatmat but, differant name. Like summit and pacesetter something like that :)

Depending on location HomeDepot does or doesnt carry the Peel n Seal brand name.... However they all have a product with asphault backing that can be used to deaden your car. Look in the HVAC section. They use the stuff to stop vibrations with AC Systems.

i meant on the door panels :) i think it would be easy since its a small area but your right im not gonna do the designs. First ima see if i could do the headliner first.

edit update: Alright i checked every section in home depot including where the wood is at....nothing.

i guess ima have to go with some ebay one i got them down to the cheapest ones what do you guys think?

thanks alex, i just emailed the guy ima get some showdown sound deadener.

as for the liner i started at 6:45 finished at 11:00 thats including a 15 minutes break.

i will not do this again ill pay someone to do it just my opinion. :)

I also peeled off my old stock fabric and glued it on the foam and it was easier to do and it stuck better.

ima wait until tomorrow night to make some more cuts and glue them to the back side.

mean while tomorrow im going to do my door panels and ill update the thread.
