I have an 01 GMC with the rectangular fog lamps, see my sig. I have removed this bumper and am going to a Trail Ready bumper which has large round openings. I plan to run Hella 500s. They are the fog type seen here:

They have H3 bulbs which are 55 watt. I am not sure about the stock bulbs. The writing is worn off.

First, can I use my stock wiring harness to run these lights?
Second, if so is there a female connector similar to the back of the stock bulb that I can use on these lights so that the stock harness will plug right in?

you can wire these in, you will have to butt connect the wires, and it wouldnt hurt to upgrade your fuse to a bigger one. you will be pushing more juice through it, and it may pop if you dont. the stock foglight circuit is on a relay and fused, and probably more heavy duty than you will get with the hella kit.
I was planning on swaping the fuse with the one that came with the Hella kit. I was going to use some type of water proof connector. I planned on wiring up a pig tail on the Hellas. Didn't know if I could find the same type of connector as on the stock bulbs to make this pig tail with. That way I wouldn't have to cut off the stock connector on the wiring harness and replace it with another water proof connector.
