Whats up,

So we are body dropping my truck right now and have found that the area where the exhaust will go is going to be very limited. We are channeling the truck so we are not raising the entire cab floor. The truck is a 1997 GMC that came factory with true duals with 2 cats and 4 O2 sensors. My question is can I convert this to a single tailpipe job with a Y pipe and a single high flow cat? Will it work the same if I just put both O2 sensors right next to each other before and after the cat?

I am not concerned with getting the most high performance out of the engine. I am just concerned with the engine running and running good.

Thanks,
Chad

Probably work better than stock. Use O2 sims or have the rear turned off in a tune, then just run the cat and motor on.
