Looking for some ideas on system setups in the 03-06 crew cab trucks. Any members have some pics of there setups? I can't make up my mind on where to mount my amp.

err, i dont see how he couldnt.. if you have enough room to put subs back there then there's enough room to put an amp rack back there if you use subthump's unseat box.. but if common sense doesn't apply here then i'm wrong

Unless u stack the amps or mount them close together on one side and a single shallow sub on the other;, it won't work. Subthumps under seat box won't fit a lot of subs and the u still run the risk of ur sub touching the carpet. Best setup in a ccsb is amps under the seat and full box behind it. You can still fold down your seats and you can get creative with your box. With the right setup u can get a lil over 4 cu ft behind the seat. Mine is right around 2 cu ft...ported and tuned at 33hz. Before this setup I ran 2 10s in a sealed full length box behind the seat too. If the OP just wants a single 10...A cheap truck box with .5 to .75 cu ft will fit and u can mount ur amp on the back wall...but that's not really a "system".

Amps can certainly be mounted like that in a CC. I usually make the board the full width though and use brackets to mount it to the C pillars instead of screwing to the outside.

u can def mount them like that, doesn't leave u room if u want to run a full width box

nic,

that would work and u can mount the amp(s) on the other side. Not the best setup (single 10 and a box we don't know what its tuned at with a sub par sub @4 ohms) but itll work with an amp that can give it power at 4ohms. The mounting depth for the box is 4 3/4 but the depth on the sub is 5 1/16....somethings wrong there

What should I look for in an amp?
