im getting my super 40 installed next week. its a 3" in dual 2.5 out. im doing straight pipes and i have 3" tips. should i get 2.25 inch pipe or go with 2.5. what about back pressure loss with larger tail pipes

It's not back pressure that you'll lose, its velocity. As long as it's after the muffler, you'll be fine with the 2.5". The single 3" is perfect for these trucks. :imo

The 2.25 or 2.5" will be fine, as long as its AFTER the muffler. The bigger pipe will be a little deeper.

I ran a single 3" all the way back on my truck, while putting about twice the hp to the rear wheels, and it ran just fine. :LOL:
