tbi 454 heater hose

Our suburban is getting close to 15 years old now, and the heater hose going from the piece between the throttle body and the intake manifold to the firewall has never been replaced. As much time as this vehicle spends on the freeway it would really suck if that blew. Anybody ever replace one? I hear is a pita and want to see if anyone has had any experience with it.
