If you just did them, why are you going to redo them? :think:RedneckDude said:thats pretty much how i did mine. I used the testors candy apple red and some automotive clear. Turned out nicely and the clear didn't act wierd with the testors either. IM gonna redo mine soon.
You can use any color that is a candy. I've seen many colors like this. All it means is that the color itself is transparant. They make something called "nite shades" which is black that light can come through, you can also try looking around a local paint shop and asking them.z71hulk said:Could you use this same process with Black instead of Red? Or will the lights not shine through the Black? Im trying to get away from the Red taillihgts! Any info?
Just layed the color of your truck over the handle and then blended it in ... as for the tails, when I made them look blacker they looked too fake on the truck .. if you want to smoke them, definately get the VHT Nite Shades, it darkens them, but its not really black, its a deep deep red, so that your taillights still look red when applied.z71hulk said:Damn that looks kick ass! How did you match the color?
Where can I find this stuff? AutoZone, NAPA, Oreilys?bcubed said:if you want to smoke them, definately get the VHT Nite Shades, it darkens them, but its not really black, its a deep deep red, so that your taillights still look red when applied.
