Lemme ask a stupid question. What shocks (rear) are you 4/6 guys running? I have the sp 2210 bf and absolutely hate em. I also have mcgaughys bags. I run 5lbs in the bags.

Looks great. Did you set your pinion angle?

Hey yall hopin to get some insight but disclaimer I am new to all this. I have a 07 nnbs silverado lt 2 wd ext cab with the stock 20s 275/55. I see a lot of people mix and matching parts from different manufacturers to lower their trucks and am a bit curious to why that is. I'm looking to lower my truck to something somewhat modest. I was thinking like a 3/5 or 4/6 but then I see things like c notch's and helper bags and get a little nervous. I guess what I'm asking is would the kit from mcgaughys part #34060 have everything I need? I'm guessing I would want new shocks since the truck is a little older. I've tried reading up on what I can and I apologize for the long post but like I said this is all new for me. Here is a picture of the truck.

When I bought my truck in 2009 I think Mcgaughy was the only manufacturer that had assist bags that worked with their flip kit which is why I went with bell tech drop struts, and spindles up front and Mcgaughy flip kit and assist bags out back.

Either of those two brands will be fine. I'd stay away from DJM, or other no name components.

Sounds good I'll stick with McG. So for say a 4/7 would I need c notch and helper bags? Or how does that work. Also confused about the shocks do I need front and rear or just rear? I don't do any towing and rarely haul anything heavy.

I swapped out the 20s for some RDR 22x10 (5.5" backspacing) and 285/45 Bridgestone duelers.
They do rub the fender liners some, but not bad. (The 20s didnt rub at all.)

I hit a pot hole and bent one of the rdr wheels and killed a tire.
I decided on some 22x9 oe replicas and 285/45 falcon tires.

I like the chrome too. Living in Utah I was worried about the chrome chipping during the winter. Hopefully the black lasts a little better then the chrome on my stock wheels.
