I took another trip to New England Dragway to run the Suburban today and came home with a 13 second timeslip. The truck ran two 14.08s last week and then that was repeated on my first run tonight. The rest of the runs ranged from 14.07 to 14.13 with 60' times between 1.98 and 2.02. At that point I really didn't think it was going to go into the 13s. Then... the final run of the night. I smelled them spraying the track about 15 minutes before I took this pass. I staged, brought the RPMs up a little higher than I have been, came off the brake when the 3rd yellow lite and felt the truck launch hard. The end result was -

60' - 1.91
330 - 5.65
1/8 - 8.82
MPH - 76.85
1000 - 11.59
1/4 - 13.93
MPH - 95.79

All of these runs were done in Auto 4WD so there was hardly any tire spin. I said I'd stop racing this at the track when after it ran 13s so it is now retired as a "race vehicle". The 22s will be going back on tomorrow then it will just be used to cruise and to pull the car hauler once in awhile.

If I had that burb I would hussle ppl at the track. I would roll up there with child car seats and stocker rims. With soccor mom stickers in the back and bet some dough.
You could make a quick buck.

wow thats one fast suburban. Its kinda disappointed that youre not gunna run it anymore, I'm sure that if u swapped in an LS1 and a few other "goodies" you could get that thing runnin low 12s

It would take more than an LS1 to get this into the 12s. It weighs close to 7000lbs with me driving so it's happier with the 8.1 under the hood. I'm seeing about 7.5-8# of boost. I could go down one more pulley size but that results in major belt slippage.

I put the 22s on and did some detailing today. It's now ready to be a "normal" street truck again :)
