I have a '14 Silverado with the 5.3,and in last few days I've noticed a "squeak" or "chirp" when I push the gas pedal. It also does it with the cruise on as well whenever it accelerates. I did search, but found nothing. Anybody else have the same issue or heard of this?

Sometimes moving parts get dirt or other contaminates in them. Often times this will cause a vibration as the surfaces move across each other. This vibration is often noticeable in the form of sound waves. Cleaning the surfaces and lubricating them with a suitable product will often resolve such issues.

You know.. when you push on the accelerator thingy and the force exerted through the drive-train is greater than the force of friction, which then generates heat and causes white smelly stuff to float around in the air?
