Good afternoon, I recently put a brand new motor in my 08 silverado 1500 to replace the orginal motor. It is a brand new 4.8 with less than 100 miles on it. This morning when I started my truck i noticed a slight ticking coming from my truck. You can not hear it from under the hood but if you get underneath the truck it comes from the drivers side. It sounds like it is coming from somewhere near the catalytic converter or the bell housing. It only does it at idle and it does it if the motor is cold or hot. I checked from exhaust leaks but could not find any. Any help is greatly appreciated.

plug up the exhaust a bit and run some seafoam....youll see smoke coming from any leaks u might have.

is the ticking in sync with the belt? I have a similar issue. I never thought about seafoam
