So yesterday i got pulled over for the tint and he put the meter on the windows and it read 0%, but i actually put 5% on it, the other thing is that my winshield has 20% on it and it read to be 36%. So my problem is that should i put 20% on the sides to match the windshiled, since it read out as a legal 36%, or should i have 35% put on it. Need some opinions on this little issue.

I thought it was against the law to tint your windshield ANY below the AS1 line :think: Windshield tint laws fall under a different law than your side windows

And that is normal for 5% to read 0 because you have a light tint made in the glass from the factory.

I haven't had anything said to me about tint in about 3 years, and I keep them blacked out :shrug:

maybe your tint guy put 35% on instead of 20% without your knowing...

That 20% will eventually read out lower and the 35% will eventually read out lower. Probably only a few percent but you just have to decide illegal or not I guess.

should i leave the 5 on the back, or take it off and just do 25 or 30 on the fronts, either way the 5 has to come off the fronts. All in all i guess i will have to lay low for a while until the heat cools off some

dude that is up to what you think will look good and if you want it legal. Hard for other people to decide what you get. We aren't gonna be paying the tickets you may get. I personally would leave the 5% on there and just hope I don't get another ticket :crazy:
