many have, thats what the member "mike" has. doesnt look bad. i had 295's on my stock 16's with no issues.
Your stock 16s are also a full inch wider than the 6.5" PYOs he is talking about :read:

315s are fine, the only issue you will run into would be the center of the tread wearing quicker than the outsides due to crowning. Lowering the pressure a bit can help that out alot.

The steel wheels are also 6.5" wide UNLESS they are the 1 Ton steel wheels, which are 7" wide.

The newer 17" wheels are 7.5" wide though.

You probably have 295/75R16 BFGs, 65 would be tiny. Those would only measure out about 1" shorter and 1" narrower than 315/75R16s.

Being a 1500HD with a 3" (?) body lift, you probably sit 1" higher than a 2500HD.

I can't help with pictures. I've only ran 315 and 35s on H2 17x8.5s.

Thanks for the pictures that puts the tire size into persepctive. i went out and looked at my truck after work and the tires that i have on the truck are BFG a/t's and the size is 305/70r16, now there worn out pretty badly and that may be attributing to why I think they look small on the truck so i am going to go for the 315/75r16 and i'm either thinking of going with nitto terran grapplers or goodyear duratracks, what do you guys think?
