I'm wondering, what is the best size tire for acceleration and good looks for a 02 reg cab 2wd with a 4.8 leveled and maybe a 2/4 in the future....runnin a 20" wheel

but iff you want a "sportier" tire you could go with a 255/45/20 that toyo makes.

Anything smaller on a 2/4 will make the truck look funny though. I wouldn't go with a bigger tire than 275/45 or you might have rubbing issues.

I have 295-45-20 with absolutely no rubbing at all. I firmly believe you should go as big as you can without rubbing. I'm sure you could run 305 in the back and 295 in the front .

Right now im at a 275/45 and they seem real big, is it possible to get a 275/40 or 275/35? cuz i kind of like the width, i just want the diameter a tad bit smaller

well a 275/45/20 is 29.7 inches and a 255/50/20 is 30 inches and they said for a 2/4 you wouldnt wanna go bigger than a 275/45 so it seems like what your wanting to do may have some trouble with rubbing issues

the 255/50/20 are a little taller then stock( 235/75/16= 29.87", 255/50/20= 30.03"). i've heard that i could still run my stock tires with a 3/6 drop.

rubbing in the front or back? how much backspacing would i need to keep from having to roll the fnder lip?

im definatly not the one to consult for backspacing and stuff on a lowered truck, ive had a lifted truck for a few years untill today, im goin in to pick my new truck up today or tomarrow
