I bought new 20x10 fuel hostages with a -12 offset for my nnbs. I am planning on running either a 33x12.5 or a 305/55/20. I currently have 285/70/17 mastercraft axts on my stock rims, and they catch a lot of stones from my driveway and 1/4 mile stretch of dirt road i drive down to work. i drive slow down the dirt road, but as soon as i hit the paved road and start to speed up the little stones kick up and hit my rockers....
with the wider stance of the new rims and tires i know the tires will throw stones up on the lower portion of my door... I am looking at more aggressive m/ts with a wide outside lug that wont catch the stones as bad. Im not sure if that would really help though? if anyone has a wider stance on an nnbs and has a tire or knows of a tire that does not chip the hell out of their doors please let me know! currently considering mastercraft mxt, cooper stt, or DC fun country (pending if you guys think they will throw stones bad).

don't know if my theory is correct or not but i think an all terrain tire will throw more small rocks because the tighter tread pattern will pick them up. my bf goodrich all terrains threw rocks bad and all the mud terrains I've had didn't throw rocks nearly as bad.

Tighter/smaller tread will grab more small rocks. Mud tarz will still pick up some rocks they'll just be big ones

Yeah BFG AT's are the worst about throwing rocks, but my mud grapplers, federals, and trail grapplers in the past have hardly thrown any rocks. The mud grapplers I have now pretty much don't throw any at all, i'm guessing because the lug spacing is so far apart.
