Nope, not if I want to ditch the emissions shit and do any tuning. Vats would likely be a bitch at that point too. Haltech elite 2500 seams like it should work. There's probably a cheaper option but the haltech seams to be the most user friendly I can find.
I was going to direct you to the Finnegan's Garage YT channel. A few months ago, I SWORE I saw an episode where he had some guys who do custom engine management systems for one of his projects. But I'll be damned if I can't find the fucking episode.

I was going to direct you to the Finnegan's Garage YT channel. A few months ago, I SWORE I saw an episode where he had some guys who do custom engine management systems for one of his projects. But I'll be damned if I can't find the fucking episode.
A lot of his stuff is using holley's system. Looked into that too but doesn't look very diesel friendly. Haltech has a duramax swapped truck running pikes peak. Donor truck is gonna cost at least 12k if I go that route so idk 🤣

The episode I thought I saw, he was not shilling a Holley system. He had at least one guy talking about their ability to do custom engine controls. Made it sound like they do custom shit when Holley won't.

I think the company he's working with on the custom harness for his c10 talked about that maybe, I don't remember for sure tho

I think he had a company build a custom harness for the 6bt in the OG ramp truck, I could be wrong though, it's been a while since I've seen it.

No computers involved with a 6bt tho.

Wrecked 3.0 trucks are selling for well into the 20s and 30s. One went for 16k yesterday but so far that's the only one under 20k since I've been watching them. If I'm paying that price I'd rather do another 6.6 especially if I can get that lml ambulance I worked on a while back when they decommission it for a decent price.

Frame swap again, or just an engine donor?
Engine donor. Gonna box the frame and make my own stand alone harness. Part out the rest of the usable stuff from the 03. Minus the front seats if they're in good shape. I'll toss those in the 68 d200

It runs! Kind of. It has a massive vacuum leak and brakes barely work. Once I hit the beaver tail on the trailer I was committed 😅

Also, you can get a '69 K5 for less. Diesel engine not included.
