so idk what I'm doing other then playing with a new toy 😂. Messing around with the bead roller trying to make an air box. Was going to make it in multiple pieces but I think im going to try and make it with one with a cover.
So still no paint, gave up on trying to fix the motor on the compressor and just ordered a new motor. Fucker still pops the breaker after new magnetic switch and centrifugal switch, both had burnt contacts.
So anyways, my vintage air stuff showed up a while ago so today I built the mount for the condensor and trans cooler. I chopped up the lb7 core support for it 😂. Still have to take it apart and paint it. Also ordered some more parts to adapt the air compressor over to #8 and #10 ac fittings. Ac lines will be routed through where the red circle is.
And with the grill on, definitely going to have to black out the drier line
so its been 100+ the last couple of days while I've been working on the pete in front of the shop. So I fucked with the ac stuff while I was cooling off. Ended up ordering an adapter for the pump that is a 90 that will point the lines to the front. Then I'll be able to use the 90° fittings and route the ac lines under the intake tube, i hope 😂
Also the deaver progressive overloads showed up today. Once I get them in ill be able to measure for a drive shaft
Deaver progressive overloads installed, running those plus a 1 inch blocks from a nbs half ton that I had laying around to get the rear level. Also figured out why my fass pump was blowing fuses and causing the truck to chug when it was working. Turns out you can't T the cp3 and fass return together. The cp3 return must be higher pressure and would over load the fass and pop the fuse. So put another bulk head fitting on the tank and plumbed the fass to it. Works like a charm now. Drilled a hole in the floor and installed the shift cable. Its not recognizing park so that's cool.
Did some sanding last night to clean up some overspray and tape lines. I think i got all of it but I'll double check it again after I get everything cleaned up and prepped good for paint. Part of me wishes it would just snow already so we can be done with field work but we are getting a lot of shit done that's been neglected the last few years 😂
Was doing a bunch of welding on other shit today so just kept going and welded in the trim around the edge of the box and plug welded all the holes tonight. Also did a bunch of cleaning in the shop today to get the floater in. After I'm done with that hopefully going to paint this fucker.
Got it all taped off today as well as doing a couple of other last minute touch ups to the body work. Its all blown off, been wiped down with wax and grease remover twice and ready to be pushed in the paint booth in morning. I'll skirt it and wipe it down one more time in the booth before painting it.
