I'm hopefully in the next week or two be trading my 06 Silverado with the 5.3 for a 05 GMC Duramax. I just want more power but don't feel like dumping thousands of dollers just to compete with a stock or mildly modded 6.0 or a Diesal. And I have always wanted a Duramax. You guys with your D-max's pretty pleased with your truck. Any Pros and Cons?

it wouldnt take a hole hell of a lot to get your truck decent and it would prolly be cheaper than buying a truck that cost 10K more

I think this Duramax is retailed at around 20000. Trust me if My truck payment is going up I won't be getting it. I bought the truck off a guy who owed 26000 on it so stupid me bought it for 26000 so my payment if through the roof. If its lower than 500 a month than im takin it. Either way I want to get rid of this huge payment. And insurance is also in the 200's a month and I have a pretty clean record.

if they dont pay it off your payment will be close to the same or higher

My God man 200.00 a month? When I was 19 I managed to get a DUI and total my new truck and it was 400.00 per month. My 2004 2500HD and my 200 ZX12R only comes to around 800.00 or so per year for both. Maybe you could get a better deal. I'm sure you have already tried but dang.

Well my suervisor just traded his 05 GMC 2500HD in and the dealer is asking 18900 for it. But theres not even one scratch in the paint and it only has 40000 miles on it.(he has a company truck so this one has berely any) The only thing I have to complain about is its the plain interior, and it has plow riggen on it, but no plow. and a little bit of frame surface rust no big deal to me. So hopefully things work out with this truck on friday or sooner
