Do you know what year 'burb it is?
The weak link in these are the electronic parts that control it, they almost always are the culprit. You need to get it checked out to see which is at fault, the dash switch (common) or the control modules (less common but more expensive). Some have 3 devices that control it, the switch on the dash, a controlled under the dash and the controller in the TC. The latter 2 can run in he 100's of $$ so you don't want to replace them unless you know for sure which one is the problem. The dash switch is almost always the fault but is less than $50 (usually).
Push button switches are not very reliable, new truck have a rotary dial.
