how much should i tighten these down when using a cork gasket? Also how many quarts will a 700r4 take?

10-15in-lbs usually, so sung. Don't over tighten them.

Did you drop the VB also? Drain the converter? Or just a fluid and filter change?

just a fluid and filter change that i did a while back. Thing is i overtightened and squashed my gasket so i got a new one and now i need to put it on in place of the squashed one. Now i just gotta find somebody to borrow a torque wrench from again

I did the whole oil and filter change myself just a while ago. It doesn't take but 12 lbs. usually if you take your ratchet and hold it real close to the front, and just turn it enough to where it is just gettin hard to do that is somewhere around 10 or 15 lbs. Just a reminder- don't forget to stagger your tightening. (not trying to be a know-it-all or anything)
