I have a list of what is included in a kit for a 4L60E I can get all that for $900 and have a local shop install it in my transmission for $650. Is there anything else i should consider buying that they dont have listed? I would think from my research that this would be a good setup for the future 6.0L that will have a mild cam, ls6 springs, headers(lt or tri-y), efans , and of course a tune. Just looking for advice thinking for next summer having the trans rebuilt since its got 100k on it now and i plow snow so id rather build before it busts. thanks for your help.

I've heard bad things about sealing chrome pans on engines, as much as the 60e pans leak regularly, id imagine its probably not the best way to go. Otherwise, get a really strong sun shell. I dont know when they stopped, but there was a 3-4 clutch pack update on my 89 that added a clutch and 2 steels or something. Also, get a new torque converter.

Edit: I wouldnt change any electronics that you can access by removing the pan, unless they are dirt cheap. also, id use oem electronics.

I do have a trans temp gauge and i only have factory cooler right now, i have been reading up on people putting in the bigger aftermarket ones. I think most have been doing the 40000 cooler?
