im installing leds in my tool box and bed of my truck etc, i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what switches and brands would be good to work and most importantly last in the weather

You could use a mercury switch on the lid or a waterproof switch from radio shack. Those have a rubber surround protecting the switch from the elements.

Yeah how much are those? I ordered some off ebay and I'll see how long they last(they were only a few bucks t there black aluminum and Im doing this on the lowere budget side right now. Or atleast trying to), could you buy surrounds or covers that you could put on any set of switches?
