That fuckin sucks dude! How'd they get in, did they pop the door lock? My truck got broken into about a month ago and they stole my D3. So now I have the new Kenwood 9140 and a Prestige alarm with proximity sensor.
ya poped the lock, exact same way they broke in last time.

dammit i hate hearing this shit, it gets me all paranoid...:(
damn thieves:nono:

you guys know a good trustworthy shop to install one?

my roommate used to be a stereo/alarm installer for a shop so he is going to do mine he just hasnt done it in a few years so he wasnt much help in picking one out.

Horn honk is a preference, but I never saw a point to extra sirens. They're all the same volume, just more of them. I think they're loud enough, you want more than the Horn honk, get a Piezo and they'll gtfo.

Also, I've had the Glass break save my ass before. I'll always recommend it from here on out.

Everything else is acceptable.

I have a code-alarm (square button) with ignition kill, shock motion, and a 120 db, 6 sound horn, with a super bright blue led, and hood pin. Also, keyless door handles, with key rod to door latch removed, and Autoguard hood latch protector. A wisecomm/ clover wc-960 audio security camera, with motion flood lights, overlooks it at night. I had a thief look in the window, last April, seen the led, and walked away. He got someones Tahoe, across the street, instead. I viewed the tape, had full discription, of him and vehicle, and gave it to the police.

While its try that one siren can be loud and that it takes a doubling to increase the output, so therefore 1-2-4-8-16-etc, I dont view it like that so much. I view it as if a theif wants to defeat one siren, ok, 2 takes twice as long, 4 takes twice as long as that etc. and they are fused on different circuits and different relays, so dont think that shorting one will kill them all. Add my horns and then my airhorns to that, good luck! Oh, think you can pop my hood? Its pinned. Wanna pop the battery, I got two of them and have fun seeing with the strobes going off! Pop the batteries, I got back-ups, wanna look for them? I got interior sirens, have fun with them!

Yes Im sick, I know it

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely understand. My set-up is advanced as well. Really the only thing I haven't done is the dual Piezo's on the inside. I'm gonna see if I can set them up to be slightly off-set from each other for maximum pain in the near future.

i had an alarm on my old truck and they stole it anyways.. if a thief wants your ride u hes gonna take it, trust me! now petty thieves that break in just for radios, etc will be detoured by a extremely loud horn like train horns and strobe lights.. sounds silly and stupid but whatever draws attention is best. i gave up on alarms, too many people know their way around them.
