So,

I have tried 2x now to do a drop on my truck. It's a 2006 ECSB Sierra, 2wd.

For the life of me, I am having the hardest time with the front. I can't seem to get the coil springs out or to a point to where I can get them out.

I want to do coils/shocks up front and a flip kit in the back with 2in lift shackle.

Drop the lower control arm?

I broke the lower balljoint loose and when I lowered my jack down, the balljoint tried to seat itself back in the hole.

If someone knows of an easier way, I'd like to know please.

Remove your caliper & rotor. Place a jack under your control arm & break the upper & lower ball joint loose( I hit the spindle with a mini sledge hammer) & remove the spindle. Next remove your shock. You should then be able to slowly lower the jack which has tension on it from the coil. If the coil does not want to come out, take your foot and push down on the control arm, that should give you enough to pull the coil out. It should literally fall out.
