After 387,000 miles, my 08 Sierra CC is starting to get a little long in the tooth. I'm about to buy a 2014/15 as a replacement. And was wondering what the value on this truck is.
I know that the dealer isn't going to give me anything for a trade in because of the mileage. And the value estimators online generally tell me they can't provide value due to the mileage. KBB.com said it should be $8K-$11k in fair to excellent condition. I'm not sure how accurate that is.
And honestly it's at a point where a lot of the maintenance items are almost due again(tires, brakes, front suspension) There are also some bigger repairs needed(A/C is weak, AFM lifters in #6, exhaust leaks).
There are also a few cosmetic items, mostly in the driver's area from my rump sitting there for hours at a time. The driver's seat, steering wheel and armrest all show wear(the rest of the cab is fine). The truck has never been wrecked and only has a couple small dings, which I think would be expected considering the mileage.

Any educated guesses on where to start with a price?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

As much as you hate to hear this. In my opinion you could start at 10k and take 8k if you're lucky. That's a shit pot of miles.

Youll be lucky to get 5k.. I dont know shit about the truck but gas and over 300k will not do anything for a dealer.
