I picked up a W/T 2004 Silverado XCSB around christmas '09 (few months ago). I really didn't want payments on anything so I had to look for high mileage, good conditon, 4x4, full size GM trucks around $6k. This is all I could find for the money......

210k, manual locks/windows, vinyl floor, blah blah blah. Just a base model silvy that needed some love. I have been waiting for the nice weather to get here so I could upgrade the heck out of it. After 3 different interiors, 3 different console kits, and tons of time, I have finally got it!

Here is the upgrade list and some before and after shots.

-bose console and lower dash
-captain's chairs with flip down armrests (added power for driver's seat)
-lighted glove box
-HVAC lower dash cover
-bose power door panels
-bose rear door panels (different speaker grill)
-power windows (99-02)
-power locks (99-02) *soon*
-carpet
-bose gauge surround bezel
-PAC harness for add-a-amp to factory headunit
-hifisoundconnection sub box under rear seat
-pioneer 250w amp
-12" kicker comp
-Alpine type S component fronts and rears
-20" Tahoe LTZ wheels/tires
-lighted aluminum steps with black covers (need to install)
-tool box
-new rear bumper
-shocks
-2 new cab vents
-replaced drivers side door weather strip
-pocket swap
-removed ding guards
-windshield
-new fluids
-factory molded mudflaps

there is probably some stuff I am forgetting, but on to the pics!

Interior #2 (2002 silvy parts) I didn't do enough research on the color "charcoal" from the two different NBS styles :nonono:

I didn't like the way the blue-ish charcoal from the 99-02 trucks looked, so I decided to two-tone it but I still had the earlier seats:

I just did the front pads and rotors and greased all the zerc fittings I could find. I also lubed the slip yolk to get rid of my start/stop clunk and inspected the U-joints(which were great).

I need to install my new aluminum steps with the black covers, but I wanted to take care of the surface rust on the pinch weld on the rockers before the steps are in the way.

So last night I wire wheel'd and inspected the rocker area. Everything is strong, just the paint chipped off because there were no mudflaps and the surface started to rust.

Either way, I etch primed 2 coats, and color match painted 2 coats and it looks great. Now the steps can go on, maybe tonight or this weekend. I can't wait. Then I'll take more pics after I claybar and wax the truck again.

I absoloutly hate the "blue" charcoal too. Why would they even do that color? It is like the maroons of the 1990's that ford had out. Ok, maybe not as bad but you know what I mean .

Thanks for checking out and reading all of this thread. It has been a pain in the azz journey just to get it to something that most people have stock.....

its funny because the blue isnt noticable all the time, i took some interior night shots once and refused to post them because of that ugly ass blue

my old '94 had the porno red interior, I absolutely hated it, but it was still better than the OBS blue......I was in the process of collecting parts to colorchange my 94 interior when it was totaled

I REALLY like the two tone interior!! I had been trying to think of a way to do that and now after seeing that I might just have too. Hmmm...

Looks good. If I ever owned a 99-02, I would for sure have to dye the interior panels a solid black with black leather seats. Thats what you should do ridin2slow. would really set your truck off.

Nice. I probably should have taken the time to upgrade my 05's WT interior instead of trading it in. How hard was it to add the power seat?

The box is a Delta Champion. My boss had it in our shop for about 6-7 years just sitting up in the storage area. He said I could have it for free. I get tons of cash jobs for him, so this was a little bonus for my extra effort even though I don't mind.

Even with the upgraded interior(besides stereo setup) and the truck purchase, I am still only at about $6,700 into it. The wheels, stereo, and steps were things I would have added to any truck I bought. The maintenance things I expected too, so I'm doing really good on this deal yet.

Wowsa, I haven't been back here in a long time.

This 04 ended up being sold early 2012 after dealing with baby seats in the extended cab for about a year. Bought a 2007 6L 4x4 4:10 bermuda blue Avalanche LTZ in 2012.

We still have the Avalanche but just recently bought a 2007.5 Silvy LTZ crew cab long bed 4x4 to pull our camper. Checking back in here just to see if my account still worked. It's only been 9 years since I was here, eeeeek!

Well, blu_fuz, you are being called back to help me with your wisdom. I just acquired a 2007 Chevy silverado classic extended cab, WT with all the base options, except the upgraded cloth seats found on LS and LT models of that year. I want to know how can I go about adding 99-2002 power windows, locks mirrors and courtest lights on my truck? after considering doing a factory retrofit from an 2003-2007 advance BCM controlled power system that'll require me to remove the dash, I just decided to go with a 99-2002 setup better. It has tan interior so most likely I wont be having a problem with the shade being off.

You will have to use the 99-02 door switches and bezel and try to fit them to the 03-07 door panels. The 99-02 system just needs a 12v ignition switched source to the window switches (also run ignition 12v to passenger side and window switch control from drivers side to passenger) and 12v hot for the seats and glove box light. I used power window regulators and door harnesses from a 99-02 and put them in my 04.

I did not have the power locks or power mirrors hooked up before I sold the truck.
