So this is a hitch for the truck and other than the coupler is not attached to the trailer? Correct?
The one I have yes that is correct. But the company makes them for both sides so you can have it on the trailer or on the truck. The gooseneck version is trailer side only. Here's the 2 version they have for it. They also make a conversion kit for the 5th wheel trailer to switch it to gooseneck.

I really like these hitches. I put a ridiculous amount of miles on a year and can't express enough how much it has made my trailer pulling experiences easier and more enjoyable. I run air bags on the truck and the one on the hitches and have no complaints.

wow pictures are worth a 1,000 words for sure. yes this looks like something anyone pulling a trailer should have. we are looking into it for sure.

They will be well served with GM, they will be naked and with empty pockets after all the repairs!🤣🤣
ww have driven nothing but GM products and have never had a major issue with any of them. My husband replaced one transmission however he worked the crap out of it always pulling a overloaded utility trailer. We have no reason to believe the next one will be any different.
