what exactly does the GM customer assistance center do?

curious to hear from any who has ever resolved a problem through them. what exactly is their purpose, other than to give you someone to talk to? i ended up having my broken down truck towed to another dealer after i called the CAC, they follow up every day and let me know my truck has been towed to the dealership and ask if there is anything else they can do. thus far i've spent a good day worth of time on the phone with them and they've accomplished nothing other than giving me someone to bitch at. once this situation is resolved imma ask my buddy william from CAC exactly what he accomplished and what his job entails.

BTW their call center is in sault ste marie ontario, way to outsource jobs GM :nono: the guy asked how i knew he was from canada, i said iono man, you say aboot one more time...

you mean the piston slap that never happened and is not a problem?

thanks for the link. GM's contact information just fell into the wrong hands.
Practically everyone's Customer Service 800 numbers suck :pow: It takes forever to work your way through a menu to get to talk to anyone, then you have to wait on hold for at least a good half hour (most of the time more). The GM people were particular nasty to myself and my dad (we both called several times) when we had issues regarding our Pontiac. We finally found a number (through the magic of the internet) to corporate office in Michigan. Gotta work your way to the top...

And don't get me started about AT&T Wireless...but that's a different story...
