I have been trying to decide between Volant or K&N. If I go Volant, I will probably get the ram air tube with it, what do yall think about that option? I will take suggestions on other brands also.

My personal pick is K&N. I don't know about Volant, but K&N's filter is reusable and I think it has a lifetime warrant (not sure , though). I would recommend the Airaid intake because I heard it uses the stock, crappy intake tube. Thats just my $.02!

Volant has the advantage of a closed airbox which further reduces the amount of hot air from your engine that gets sucked into the intake. It also helps if you live in a dusty area.

Depending on the model of truck, Volant also has some "ram air scoop" add-ons that drops a tube to the fog light location on late model chevy's to help pick up more cold air...

I have the K&N 77-Series, $241 at Summit Racing or Jegs ... I like it cause of the polished tube as opposed to the stock looking plastic of the rest.
