Not sure where to post this, Just curious what is in that vertical tube to the right of the gas pedal comming out of the floor. I had a 2000 GMC ECSB before my 04 Avy and they both had it, What is it?

theres a metal bracket inside the "tube" that helps hold the dash up.

don't touch it!!!!....that tube holds the whole truck down, if you remove it, the truck may fall apart on the road.
