Good evening, I recently bought an 08 crewcab 4.8 4x4. I've turned the traction control off using the button yet i cant break the tires loose, Whats the deal with this thing? Also if i punch it from a dead stop it accelerates at a very slow rate. The truck has a flowmaster that is 3" in dual 2.5" out. Any help appreciated.

Get it tuned by someone that knows what they are doing and it will roast those tires.
Slip a custom grind cam in it with a 3200 converter and it will be alot of fun.

My truck has 285/70/18s and its a g80 locker with 3.42 gears. How would i get rid of torque management?

Your biggest problem is that big of a tire with 3.42 gears. That tire measures out to approximately 33.71 inches tall and probably weighs at least 50-60 lbs. If you want your truck to be quicker your best bet would be to either go to a smaller tire or regear to 4.10s or higher.
