I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 3 inch lift. It has 25x12s with 305/35 tires now. I will have the money soon and want something better. I'm looking at some wheels that are 20x10s with a -19 offset. I have no offset on my current wheels or it's 0, whichever idk. I was just wanting to be sure these would fit before ordering them and what would be a good size tire to run on em? I'm pretty sure they'll fit since they're smaller than what's on it now but this offset and shit confuses me and gets on my nerves trying to figure it out . I also don't like trimming and won't do it. I'm eventually gonna put a 6-7 inch lift on my truck but it will be anywhere from 3-6 months from now. I'll attach a pic if what it looks like now and the wheels I'm thinking of getting, not dead set on the wheels yet. Could still change my mind if I find better or cheaper.

the first pic is what I'm thinking about ordering but I also like the other 2. Not sure which ones I'll get yet. The last pic is my truck. I love the 2 tone look of the wheels in the 2nd and 3rd pic, but the red accent in the wheel in first pic might look awesome on my truck. Idk...? I just wanna know if y'all think they'll fit my truck and mostly I'm wondering what is a good size tire to put on em?

Well I need tires bad, mine are slick and I'm not even exaggerating. I don't wanna buy more 24 inch tires I'd rather go ahead and get different wheels cuz I'm sick of these then I can sell them. I'm pretty sure they'll fit cuz what I'm getting will be smaller I just wanted to ask in case y'all might have any useful tips or info.

That's what you got when he said to wait till you get your lift. That's a very useful tip.

Man, 30 years of the internet. And it's still full of porn and people asking "which wheels and tires will fit ____?" Some things never change.

I've installed dozens and dozens of lifts. @ferraiolo1 is right. Wait till you get your lift. And if you really want to preemptively buy wheels/tires. Go with what the lift you're going to get specifies. Most have a list of compatible sizes /offsets for the kit.

So I guess I should just go ahead and get tires put on my 24s cuz I'm showing wires, no tread left, it's bad. Then after tax time I can get wheels cuz I can't afford a lift kit and wheels/tires at the same time. What lifts are the best in your opinion? I'm not a huge fan of rough country, I feel like it's just a name. I want something heavy duty or durable and something that can take a beating and still be worth a shot but also not to difficult to install with minimal to no modifications. That's asking a lot I know but I'll be doing it myself so...

Go on Craig’s list or fb market place and buy some cheap wheels and tires to hold you over till you buy your lift.

You can legit buy a set of take offs for 100 that will get you until lift time.

That's sorta what I did, I put some 285/75r17 tires and fuel wheels on for now but after I get a couple of paydays I'ma get my lift kit then I'm gonna get some tires that are more knobby. I like the venom tires I've seen ppl running but they are expensive so I may have to wait til tax time so I can get a good lift kit and tires. I'm thinking maybe ftc I've heard they're good, I feel like rough country is just a name but not quality from what I've read from ppl that have rc lifts, idk yet got more research to do. But I went from 305/35r24 to 285/75r17 and I'm so much happier and so is my truck.

Lol rough country is fine as long as you don't over stretch it.

Lol it's faded I got a new one ordered, they've been outta stock. And I read about Zone, BDS, and Super lift are those any good? I liked what I saw and read on the BDS website but Zone seemed pretty awesome too only a little more expensive.

Bds and zone are built by the same company.

That's good to know cuz those are the 2 I've narrowed it down to, was thinking bds is best of all 3 I read about.

I have a new issue now tho, I broke my tranny. Was helping a neighbor and told him my tcase was messed up but he insisted. So tryin to pull his trailer with flats straight uphill on fresh gravel it went out. Now I ha 1st, 2nd slips and I have reverse. I'm gonna try to put the good tcase on my truck, maybe just the tcase messed up completely and my tranny is fine but we'll see. I don't know how I have 3 gears tho and not the others, I'm thinking I need a new tranny but this is my hubby's idea so we're gonna try it. I cried so hard I got my truck out tho by God I wasn't leaving her in that hole. I found a used one online for $500 so maybe I can borrow the money from my dad if I have to y'all wish me luck please. Fingers crossed

Verify that used transmission works before paying anything for it. With out it being in a truck to see it works, you might as well be buying a transmission full of neutrals.
