A buddy of mine wants to know. Hes having trouble finding his. Anyone got any idea? Oh and its ext cab 2wd if that makes a difference. You think it might be in the fuel tank? Hmm...

In the tank. And it's not really a filter, it's a non-servicable strainer sock.

GM dropped frame rail mounted filters in 2003.
Mine is an 04, 2wd, and has the fuel filter inside the frame rail, driver's side, near the front door.

I stand corrected.
You have a 4.3L, the only thing that you have in common with other trucks is the steering wheel.

I would gladly have another 12oz. of gas pouring down on me to have the frame rail filter on my '06.

Hate to disagree, but the F bodys use an external filter and they have basically same returnless fuel system.

Either way, there still isn't a filter under your truck :bowtie:

nope, not under mine. I felt like a dumbass after I first got it and at about 30k when Autozone sold me one (its in their system) and I couldnt find that damned thing.
