I bought a remote start alarm and bypass module for my 2007 sierra 1500 classic w/t. It only has power locks nothing else. Will the xpresskit gmdlbp work on my truck? It doesn't have a oem keyless entry at all its a base model truck. Do I even need a module for the locks?

I bought a remote start alarm for my truck and by pass module. The bypass module I bought is the xpresskit gmdlbp, I'm wondering if it's the correct one for my truck considering it's a work truck without oem keyless entry. It does have power locks however. Thanks in advance for any input

you will need a bypass, like the DBAll or FLCan, for the immobilizer for remote start to work

Excalibur 1660. According to 12volt fourm my truck since it's a base model without keyless entry it doesn't need a interface module.

The immobilizer bypass (dball2, FLcan, etc..) is to trick the truck into thinking your "chipped key" is inserted into the ignition so the truck can start. I just dove deep into all this stuff when I researched my remote start install. If you don't have remote or power locks you might not need all the features of the immobilizer bypass, but you will still need an immobilizer bypass to work.
