let me explain, The 16+ they basicly keep the stock mounting point geometry but move the hub 1". The other portion of the drop comes from mounting the stock ball joint on top of the lca. your ball joints on the djm lca is pressed in and can not be changed.

with the 17+ spindles the hub is moved 1" and the other inch comes from dropping just the lca mounting point 1 more inch. Tis changes the suspension geometry a lot wich can cause bad things.

So if you got the 16+ spindles the only arm that would have a bigger angle would be the lca. but you would have a better riding truck.
