Comes with a 4-speed. Only the Denali has the 6-speed. Did not buy one, so can't comment on whether I like it or not.

Who has a new body style cc with the vortec max. Does this come with a six speed box. And what do you think of the truck so far?

6 speeds will be standard on the 08 models.
I guess I will wait awhile. Or buy the Denali. I see the Denali is sporting a eaton rear end. Is this the true track?
What is the 08 six speed going to be? Is it going to be the 80? Also for a guy that has been driving a 4 speed for the last 3 years, what will I notice? Is this being done to increase gas milage and durabliity?

Eaton = same ol' G80 they've always had.
Current six is 6L90E, only in Denali/Esky/HDs. My guess is the std 1/2ton will be like 6L70E or something.
It's being done for MPG and to keep up with the Joneses.
