I want to tint my windshield but dont know how much. people say 50 percent is to little and others say 35 percent is too much. I have black interior and already tinted side windows. I already have one ticket and am thinking that 50 percent will be about right considering my interior and tinted sides?

do you drive with your windows down alot or with them up? 50% isnt too noticeable w/ the windows down, 35% is def. noticeable

I did 50% on my girls front window and it helps a lot but not too noticeable

i druve mostly with all my windows up. and what would happen if you got into a crash and say ended up killing someone. could\nt you get lawsuits and everything else filed on you for having the tint?

yes, tint is illegal

I believe there is a loophole by going to your eye doc and saying you need the tint.....not sure how you can get that exception though

yea i heard about the doctors note too, im just leary on what would happen if i got into a bad crash with someone if there would be any way they could file anything against me for having it.

It is always a possibility, if you are a cautious driver...which you should be while running dark tinted windows, than i wouldnt be too worried about it.

not police but, with the doctor. he said if the sun irritates you put eye drops on or put sunglasses on. lol

35 isn't enough even at night to impair driving, it actually helps with glare from other cars for me. I honestly don't notice my windshield tint anymore, it seemed dark at first but I had a windshield with no brow.

if u get into a bad wreck with or without tint u are getting sued.

i have mine tinted with 35% and a 5% brow over the top of it and i love it doenst bother me at night and i have 5% all the way around but headlights at night really screw with my eyes

I have 35% on winshield and it really cuts out on glare and heat. I myself am a police officer and 99% of the time me and my fellow officers don't even pay attention to the winshield. It's just the side windows on those vehicles that look suspicious. I don't write tint tickets because I don't want to be a hypocrite, but I see no problem with 35%. Your biggest worry then will be how to get your inspection sticker off each year without messing up your tint. Oh and don't worry about the wreck deal, legitimate concern but never seen it become an issue.

I'm gunna do mine one of these days.. I will prolly do 50 just cuz the cops around here suck and I just want it for the heat in the summer... You can put your hand by my side windows and its fairly cool but you can stick your hand under the windshield and it will damn near burn your hand

And I've tried for the doctors note multiple times they always say put on sun glasses I have even tried to pay them to give me one :crazy:
