Hey guys I need some help. I got a set of heated, powered mirrors with the puddle lamps and I'm having a hard time wiring them up. I currently have power ones and was wondering if you could wire up the puddle lamps and have the defrost work also. I tried to tap into the orange wire on the door, but the lights just stayed on. The harness (on the door) has the wire already in it for the puddle lamp/ defrost ground. Wire H on the right side pic below.
From what I read was that the orange wire on the door light has power to it all of the time and the white wire is the one that has the switch to turn off the light.
My question is how do you wire up the mirrors so the puddle lamp and defrost option work.

Now I know someone has done this and if anyone has an idea on how to wire these up so that the puddle lamps and defrost work would be great. I found this thread and it doesn't look like they figured anything out.http://gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89649&highlight=puddle+lampconnected the wires to the foot well lamp on the driver side there is and orange (+) and white (-) wire for the little light. you have to connect both the positive and negative wire to the foot well light wires, i.e. you can't just ground the ground wire because the orange wire is powered all the time and the ground is actually the switch wire. I found this out the hard way by 3 times of trial and error. if this dosen't make sense i will try to clarify, also i can get some daytime pics or how it is mounted
