if i were to point the differential farther down than being straight with the driveshaft, would that get rid of my wheel hop? i heard that when you go forward the shaft shifts up a little bit.

It's quite possible. I've read the ideal setup is to have the angle at the pinion 2-3* degrees lower than matching the tranny output to compensate for pinion wrap.
what he said....2-3* is what you want the drive line angle. should help some wheel hop

ok lower bars were made longer and it took a little time. got the angle right and took it out for a drive. it smokes them nice and smooth, pics on the way.
